Top 5 Things to Do in Pittsburgh This Weekend 7/13/13

It’s that time of the week again. Mama’s hate sitting in the house all Saturday with the kids. We want a quick, no-fuss activity that tires the munchkins out so mama and daddy can have some adult time. So here are your choices for family fun this weekend:
1. Starting today (Friday, July 12) a FREE Gallery Crawl beings in the Cultural District Downtown. That’s basically all of Penn Ave. Check it out: http://www.trustarts.org/education/community/crawl/
2. Next, if you and your mini-me (aka daughter) are looking for some me-time with a little pizzazz head over the the It’s a Natural Thang Meetup. It’s $10 at the door and a slew of vendors, naturalistas and hair experts are expected to be at the Union Project for the event. Here’s the link for more on that one: https://www.facebook.com/events/385891328185874/
3. The BugWorks event at the Museum of Natural History is awesome. My son’t loved it. And, don’t forget if you have an access card you can gain access for yourself and up to three children for $1 each. I’ll be there today, so if you wanna have a brown mama meetup let me know. Here’s the info: http://www.pghcitypaper.com/pittsburgh/bugworks/Event?oid=1563630
4. If you want an indoor event whether its bowling, laster tag or yoga, Groupon has something for you at a discounted rate. Check here: http://www.groupon.com/local/pittsburgh/things-to-do
5. And if all else fails, do what my husband and I do. We visit every park in the city until the small people can’t stand anymore and I need a foot rub. Here is a list of all the parks you could possibly imagine in the City of Pittsburgh: http://www.city.pittsburgh.pa.us/pw/html/shelters.html
Enjoy!
