Low-Cost Lovin, Give Her Love Jones on Valentines Day

1. A rendezvous at the park -- My absolute favorite image in "Love Jones" is of Nina & Darius running in the fog-filled park.  Women love walks in the park.  Take Jill Scott's advice and rendezvous in the park. And, if you really take her seriously maybe you could talk about something entirety (i.e. teach her something). Your leading lady will love a walk in the park where you swoon her with talk of the mysteries of Egypt or the hidden laws of the universe.

2. A photo shoot -- Be a renaissance man.  Whether you've got a Nikon, Cannon or cell phone camera, dress up your lady in her best clothes and show her how you see her.  Not only does this have the potential for a happy ending, but she will NEVER forget this date.  A picture speaks a thousand words.

3. Go dancing at your local reggae club -- I don't see nothing wrong with a little bump n' grind. Get close with your lady at the club.  When you make your woman the center of attention in a room full of women, it puts her on cloud nine.  The best thing is the music will do all of the work for you.  All you have to do is buy some flowers and the price of admission.

4. Let Me Play Something for You -- Records can't help but be romantic.  The gritty sound of a record, or even the old school melodies of Duke Ellington will show your woman you are far above the normal.  Dinner and great music is the oldest date in the book.  If you're in Pittsburgh, local record shop 720 has everything you need to make your Valentine's Day historical.

5. Write Her a Poem -- No one can't tell me they didn't want to be in love when Darius said he was the blues in your left thigh tryin' to become the funk in your right.  Well, that was more than alright with me. Whether you find some Sonia Sanchez or start with 'roses or red & violets are blue,' women love words, especially when they come from the heart.

Well hope this helps.  Happy Lover's Day!
