It's National Ice Cream Day

Yummy!  Ice Cream is truly my favorite dessert of all time.  So, if you plan to celebrate National Ice Cream Day, here a few of the most delicious cold treat shops in the 'burgh. Enjoy!

1. Dave & Andy's Ice Cream Shop in Oakland serves up homemade ice cream.  One yelper had this to say about their frozen treats:

Ice cream has the best texture, the best temperature, best level of sweetness. They also put an m&;m at the bottom of their waffle cones to prevent leakage.

Klavon's Ice Cream in the Strip District is one of my absolute faves.  You can truly taste the love they put into their ice cream, and its inexpensive.  Plus it's in the Strip, so if you have some grocery shopping to do it's the perfect place to stop and take a load off after the hectic nature of Sunday shopping.

I've never been to Mercurio's in Shadyside, but they seem to have a great following in the city.  They also serve pizza so you can make it an ice cream and dinner date.  Read some of the reviews.

If you're not celebrating National Ice Cream Day meet-up with Brown Mommys at Harambee.  Whatever you do with your Sunday, just enjoy it.  Monday will be here before you know it.
