The first Mocha Moms Pittsburgh Meeting was held on,  Sunday, April 21, 2012.

Discussion Topic 1: To Chapter or Not Chapter?

‍Outcome 1: We decided to Chapter. Cynthia Levy - Mendoza and Allegra Battle - Johnson will co-author application. Elections for chapter officers will be held after the applications is submitted. Heather Hopson will assist with potential sponsors.

‍Discussion Topic 2: Venues and Hosts

‍Outcome 2: Cynthia will contact Children's Museum regarding allowing us to use their facility. Rhonda has a contact at Museum that may be able to assist. Jovon Higgins will host next meeting on May 20, 2012. Diamonte Hamlett will serve as back-up for Jovon.

‍Discussion Topic 3: Potential Charity Efforts

‍Outcome 3: Books for Barbershops - Christyles Salon or Natural Choice may be used,  Walk for the Cure. Other charities will be exploredDiscussion Topic 4: What Matters to us as Mocha Moms

‍Outcome 4: Several moms cited work-life balance, overcoming the need to be the perfect mom. We also discussed strategies for making ourselves a priority in addition to our families.

‍Next Steps: Next meeting was scheduled for Sunday, May 20, 2012 at Jovon Mitchell's house. We are encouraged to invite other moms we feel would be complimentary for our group.
