Spike Lee's New Movie Suggest Black Mothers Can Stop Community Violence
Spike Lee seems to believe Black women are the key determinant in stopping community violence. Â His new film, Chiraq takes a satirical look at the ongoing violence in Chicago. Â The Chiraq trailer seems to hint at the idea that if Black women withheld "the cookie," it could change the way Black men respond to conflict in their lives. Â I tend to agree with that perspective, but let's see what Spike Lee's new film has to say. Â It hits theaters Friday, December 4th.
