Do you really need to sit in a yogi position to meditate? Â I don't know about you mamas, but I'm so over that. Â And, besides who has time to do that. Â Here are some ways to mix meditation into daily life without paying for a life coach.

When you think of dishes you may not think of meditating, but you might think of quiet. Â When I wash the dishes I run warm water, turn on my favorite calming music and delight in the smell of my apple blossom dish detergent. Â When I'm quiet and focusing on the circular motion of washing the dishes, I find a peacefulness there. Â For me that's what meditation is, it's a time when I can be at peace. Â Chores have a way of cleaning up mental clutter, if you allow them.

Integrating mediation into everyday habits takes the expectation away.  The idea that I need to transform into Ghandi doesn't exist when I'm in the shower.  It's just me, Oil Olay and the hot water.  Let Calgon take you away and quiet your mind during shower time.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/2"][vc_single_image border_color="grey" img_link_target="_self" title="Take a Ride" image="3417" img_size="300x300" img_link_large=""][vc_column_text]
I love taking car rides. I come up with some of my greatest ideas when I'm just takinga ride to nowhere. Â Take time to see what God really has to offer. Â View the mountains or changing trees, sing your favorite song 12 times in a row and let the wind whip your hair back and forth. Â I come back from these trips feeling so refreshed, like I've given myself a present that no one can take away.

When I'm twisting or knotting my hair, I turn on soft music, feel the softness of my tresses between my fingers and ponder on the beauty of the women who came before me and wore a similar curly mane.  For me, styling my hair is not about maintenance, it's about connecting with my physical self and showing my crown that I appreciate it.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/1"][line type="1"][quote text="The thing about meditation is that you should become more and more YOU." name="David Lynch" name_sub="film director"][line type="1"][/vc_column][/vc_row]
